— City’s Tourism and Marketing Office Launches Marketing Program to Draw Visitors During Summer Months—
New York City (June 30, 2008)—NYC & Company today launched their summer tourism savings program, “Summer in the City,” designed to attract visitors to the five boroughs in July and August. The wide availability of free and value-oriented activity taking place this summer including The New York City Waterfalls public art project will make the destination a perfect choice.
“We’re launching the “Summer in the City” savings program as an added incentive for visitors to come to New York City to experience the energy and vibrancy of the five boroughs,” said George Fertitta, CEO, NYC & Company.
The “Summer in the City” program runs from July 1 to Sept. 1 and includes more than 200 offers throughout the five boroughs.
Fertitta added: “As a visitor, you can do more in three days in New York City than you can do anywhere else in a week. The City’s public transportation is seamless and there’s so much to take advantage of during the summer months including miles of beaches, wide open spaces of green parkland, endless bike paths, a plethora of free outdoor concerts, and so much more.”
