Happy Birthday Barney Greengrass!! May you stay open for 100 more years. Barney Greengrass is known for the best smoked fish bar none and after my sandwich today, I would have to agree that I have never had better sturgeon or nova.
They had a special menu and rolled back the prices which were from 1908.
The sandwich is perfection. Barney Greengrass may not have a charming atmosphere but I have yet to find better Nova and sturgeon.
This sandwich was scrumptious. The nova melted in my mouth.
It was worth every single calorie.

The 100 year celebration of Barney Greengrass. Growing up, my Father's favorite restaurant was Barney Greengrass. Every Father's Day and on his Birthday he wanted to go there. Today, the fabulous restaurant rolled back it's prices via 1908. It was worth the wait in gold. I had a nova and sturgeon sandwich (I prefer a bialy to a bagel any day.)
My sandwich was perfection and if you are smoked fish lover it is hard to beat the quality of Barney Greengrass (My sturgeon, nova and scallion cream cheese bialy was so good I wish I could eat another now!!!)
