THE STREET
THE STREET
A new musical comedy about
Broads on Wall Street!
Killer Dames take on Wall Street! Stock shorts, long odds, undercover moles & a misanthropic metrosexual all collide on America's "Street of Dreams." THE STREET, is a wild ride as we take on the big guns of Wall Street, only to run head-on into accounting improprieties & business shenanigans. And all set to the tune of the Libretto, Music & Lyrics of Ronnie Cohen (w/Jane Beale on Libretto), the Direction & Choreography of Heidi Lauren Duke under the Musical Direction of Daniel Cataneo.
Ronnie Cohen has worn many hats, as a director, actor & playwright, working for several years with the Little Theatre of Geneve in Geneva, Switzerland. She & Jane Beale wrote Correction, which was a finalist in the Sienna College International Playwrights Contest in 2006 & is currently working on Quota, a one-act about self-imposed limits. Her true labor of love is THE STREET, which seeks to laugh at the dysfunctional nature of the world’s most important business & the people who work in it. Heidi Lauren Duke is a director/choreographer who specializes in work for the musical stage, from grand opera to new works of dance/theatre. She serves as Artistic Associate for Les Azuriales Opera Festival in Nice, France, where she has directed singers from all over the world & has directed & choreographed Cole Porter's Anything Goes, Mozart's Marriage of Figaro, Puccini's Rondine & both the play & the opera of Merry Wives of Windsor. Daniel Cataneo is a pianist, composer, educator & author. He is the Artistic Director of the Cape May Music Festival Rhythm of the Sea, musical director for the new Broadway musical "The Frog Prince” & is on the faculty of The Juilliard School of Music.
