The Drama Desk will pay tribute to the leading men of the New York stage at its Special Summer Luncheon Panel at Sardi’s on Friday, June 15. The Panel, entitled Men For All Seasons – The Art of Acting in a Show – will take place between 11:45 AM and 2:30 PM. Panelists include (in alphabetical order): Michael Cerveris (Love/Musik), Raúl Esparza (Company), Harry Lennix (Radio Golf) and Liev Schreiber (Talk Radio). Elysa Gardner, Theater Critic for USA Today and a member of the Drama Desk organization, will serve as moderator.
Michael Cerveris is currently co-starring as composer Kurt Weill in LoveMusik, the dramatic musical directed by Hal Prince and written by Alfred Uhry. Raúl Esparza won the 2007 Drama Desk Award as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical for his starring role in the revival of Company. Harry Lennix, plays Harmond Wilks in the Broadway production of August Wilson’s Radio Golf. Liev Schreiber was nominated this year for both Drama Desk and Tony Awards for his current tour de force performance on Broadway in Talk Radio.
