Manhattan Movement And Arts Center Dedication!

Kelly Bishop and Karen Ziemba
(Video interviews will be up in a week)

It was a wonderful evening. I got to interview Karen Ziemba! (Someone I have always admired and never had the chance to interview.)

I first met Karen on the 104 bus and we chatted about her role in Encores Pajama Game. I remembered how incredibly sweet and gracious she was. Well, tonight I got to interview her on camera. I will post the video soon.

In addition, I interviewed the original Shiela in A CHORUS LINE tonight. Her name is Kelly Bishop. She told me about her role in DIRTY DANCING (The film)
A CHORUS LINE and about her career. She was a fascinating interview so come back soon.

Photos will be coming in a few hours.

Stay tuned.

I went to the event on a walker and it was hard but I am out there again.
I will never stop, not even for a minute.

Theater is my passion and this event made me realize how lucky I am.

About the event:

WHAT: The dedication and unveiling of Dance Space, a new mural by artist Jessica Daryl Winer at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center, hosted by ballerina Cynthia Gregory

Details: Jessica Daryl Winer’s new public art piece Dance Space, which is permanently installed in the lobby of the new Manhattan Movement and Arts Center, will be dedicated on Wednesday, October 29th, 6:00-8:00pm with a ribbon cutting by American Prima Ballerina, Cynthia Gregory.

Dance Space is an 8’9” x 10’ acrylic-on-canvas mural with both abstract and figurative elements—that captures, in swirling blues, the kinetic nature of air that surrounds dancers moving through space.
