Last evening was the first of the series of the Summer Broadway Festival.
Last evening was a salute to the Operetta. It starred: Marc Kudisch, Gavin Lee, Christiane Noll, Karen Murphy, Milla Ilieva, Sarah Jane McMahon and Manu Narayan.
It was a thrilling evening. I have always been a fan of Opera but didn't realize my love for the operetta until last evening.
Scott Siegel always gets the best casts for his shows at Town Hall. It made for a thrilling evening with some of the most beautiful voices.
Standouts of the evening were: Karen Murphy singing "Art is Calling For Me" Also Sarah Jane McMahon singing "One Kiss". I also loved Christiane Noll singing "Italian Street Song" and Mark Kudisch singing "Donkey Serenade" to a stick Pony.
