LADIES NIGHT ON BROADWAY!!!

The League of American Theatres & Producers Announces
LADIES NIGHT OUT ON BROADWAY

A New Initiative To Celebrate Broadway's Most Loyal Demographic

Event Will Raise Awareness for The Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative
of The Actors Fund

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2007

(Tickets on sale now at www.LadiesNightOutOnBroadway.com)

(New York, NY, September 24, 2007) The League of American Theatres and Producers, Inc. announces a new initiative -- LADIES NIGHT OUT ON BROADWAY -- a special evening on Broadway created for Broadway's most loyal group of theatre-goers. In association with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Ladies Night Out on Broadway will take place on October 24, 2007. Tickets on sale now at www.LadiesNightOutOnBroadway.com.

Similar to other successful League audience development programs (including Kids' Night on Broadway and Singles Night on Broadway), the first-ever Ladies Night Out on Broadway, created only for women, includes special show discounts and an important charitable tie-in with the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative of The Actors Fund, a program created to address the myriad of concerns women face when dealing with a serious medical condition. A special free party with food and drinks at Spotlight Live from 5-7:30 PM will host a variety of activities including Women-in-Theatre panels and Broadway karaoke.

"Women represent 63% of Broadway audiences and 66% of ticket purchasing decisions so LADIES NIGHT is our way of saying thank you. And we hope that the activities provided free this evening will remind our most loyal members about the variety of Broadway offerings and will give this very engaged demographic yet another reason to join us for an additional night on Broadway full of fun and entertainment," commented Charlotte St. Martin, Executive Director, League of American Theatres and Producers. "Women are also the primary decision makers when it comes to purchasing theatre tickets and planning a night out on the town, and we are delighted to host for them what we hope will become an annual event that educates them, pampers them, rewards them and just reminds them about how much we appreciate their loyalty to Broadway!"

Serving as LADIES NIGHT Spokespeople are Jackie Hoffman and Mary Testa, currently starring in XANADU at the Helen Hayes Theater. Commented Ms. Hoffman and Ms. Testa: “We’re honored to be the spokesgals for Ladies Night Out on Broadway because not only do we get to help raise money for women’s health, we get to introduce new audience members to the exciting world of live theatre.” Over the next month, Jackie and Mary can be seen on WNBC Public Service Announcements promoting Ladies Night Out on Broadway.

Participating Shows

Twelve Broadway shows are participating in Ladies Night Out including, A Chorus Line, The Color Purple, Curtains, Hairspray, Legally Blonde the Musical, Les Misérables, Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, Monty Python’s Spamalot, The Phantom of the Opera, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Xanadu. (*show participation subject to change)

Spotlight Live Party

With the purchase of a Ladies Night theatre ticket to any of the participating Broadway or Off Broadway shows, ladies are invited to attend a free theatre themed party at Spotlight Live, the only restaurant where you walk in for dinner but walk out a star.

Participating shows will host post-show talk backs that correspond with online show discussion guides made available on the event website. These online discussion guides for women interested in creating “theatre clubs,” provides the opportunity to form meaningful connections with like-minded women. In addition, Times Square area restaurants will feature special offers, plus parking discounts. Please visit broadway.ivillage.com to chat with other Broadway theatre fans and enter a Broadway sweepstakes.

To purchase tickets, get more information on the FREE ladies only party at Spotlight LIVE and special Ladies Night post-theatre offers at Times Square area bars and restaurants, log on to www.LadiesNightOutOnBroadway.com or call the Broadway Line (1-888-Broadway). Tickets can also be purchased at the individual theatre box offices or at the Broadway Ticket Center™ -- a centralized ticket outlet in the heart of New York’s Theatre District offering full-priced tickets for same-day and advance performances to Broadway and many Off Broadway shows. When ordering tickets, please use the Ladies Night promotional code: WMN07.

About the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative

The Phyllis Newman Women’s Health Initiative was created by The Actors Fund to address the myriad of concerns women face when dealing with a serious medical condition. When women come to The Fund after a serious medical diagnosis they are often overwhelmed with concerns about their ability to work, family issues, managing basic bills as well as medical bills, and coping both physically and mentally with a challenging medical situation.

The PNWHI Social Workers help women negotiate the steps that follow a serious medical diagnosis. Through intensive case management, access to individual counseling, support groups, educational seminars, linkage to community supports and short-term financial assistance, the social workers help women receive the nurturing support that they need.

Each year, the Phyllis Newman Women’s Health Initiative (PNWHI) helps hundreds of women in health crisis – many whose treatment is compromised by lack of health insurance. PNWHI provides women in the entertainment profession with access to health care, diagnostic, preventative, and mental health services, substance abuse treatment, and meaningful assistance when they are confronted with traumatic illness, injury or a violent situation. The goal of PNWHI is to provide women in the entertainment community with the resources and support they need to attain optimum health and independence.

A NEW MUSICAL BY PHILIP GEORGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love anything Philip George writes. He wrote SHOUT. A lot of Forbidden Broadway. The man is a comedic genius. I might have to go to this three times. I love his humor.

NEW YORK CITY ANNOUNCES EXTENDED OUTDOOR DINING SEASON

–New rule to permit installation of portable natural gas heaters in licensed sidewalk cafés–

New York, NY (September 24, 2007)—New York City today announced that the outdoor dining season at restaurants and cafés throughout the five boroughs will be extended beyond the summer months. In a move to increase outdoor dining opportunities year-round, the Bloomberg Administration introduced a new rule that allows restaurants to install approved portable natural gas heaters in licensed sidewalk cafés and restaurants. The rule will give restaurants the chance to keep their outdoor dining spaces open longer while providing a comfortable and safe dining experience as the colder temperatures of the fall and winter approach.

“Dining at a sidewalk café in New York City is one of the most desired experiences for New Yorkers, as well a unique opportunity for the millions of people who visit the city each year,” said George Fertitta, CEO of NYC & Company, the City’s official marketing and tourism organization. “By extending the ever-popular outdoor café season, the energy on our city streets will continue well into the winter months, as our visitors and residents alike take part in what is truly the quintessential New York City dining experience.”

Restaurants with sidewalk cafés are at an all-time high, with approximately 900 legally operating throughout the City – a 25% increase compared to four years ago. With the process for getting a new café faster and easier than ever, New York City Department of Consumer Affairs works with the industry and neighborhood organizations to help ensure restaurants know the rules and requirements, as well as promote those that are licensed.

“Together, the City and the restaurant industry have found a way to hold off winter,” said Commissioner Mintz. “With Mayor Bloomberg’s leadership, we’ve been able to make it easier for restaurants to open and operate one of the City’s great amenities and extend the café season year-round. Industry input has been invaluable. The hard work and coordination of our colleagues at the Department of Buildings and Fire Department has made it possible to ensure that restaurants are able to install approved heaters quickly and safely.”

To install approved portable natural gas heaters and its accompanying hardware, restaurants must first have a license to operate a sidewalk café from DCA, and then must receive clearance from both the New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) and the Fire Department (FDNY). Working together, DCA, DOB, and FDNY have created a simple FAQ document that walks restaurants through the approval process step-by-step, and ensuring all required plans and paperwork are in order, have committed to completing the application process in no more than 18 days.

What A WEEKEND!!!

I am so tired yet I can't sleep. Ever have such a wonderful time you can't sleep?

What a wonderful weekend:

The highs:

Tonight! Seeing the 1000 performance of Spelling Bee with one of my favorite people in the industry (JENNIFER SIMARD) I adore her and she is incredible in the hit Broadway smash, SPELLING BEE. Mr Finn came out at the end of the show and announced it was the 1000 performance. You really need to check it out if you have not seen it.
It is wonderful. I like the new cast and Simard is a highpoint for me. She was nominated for several Drama Desk Awards when she was in FORBIDDEN BROADWAY. Check out SPELLING BEE at Circle In The Square on West 50th.

The Annual Broadway Cares Flea Market:
I shopped for hours today and spent over $200 on goodies from Broadway Cares.
A cause I have always supported and this year I went over the top spending. All for a good cause. I got a SPELLING BEE key chain, numerous CDS, tee shirts, posters, Broadway Bares calendars and a lot more. It was a good way to spend my money.

The RITZ:
I loved the hammy show with the fantastic views at the Roundabout. Sadly, I am still thinking about MR CHAPS and MR CRISCO. Enough about that.

Photo coverage of the Flea Market coming soon.

Time for me to go to bed.

See you later......

The RITZ!

What is a nice Jewish girl doing at the RITZ the night before Yom Kipper? Well, at the theater of course. I am not religious and when a friend gave me a pair because it was on the holidays, I could not pass up on the offer.

The Ritz is one of the silliest and campiest shows to come this season since XANADU.
It is such a riot! My favorite line "The Sun Will Come Out MANANA!" And Seth R has a scene that was so funny I almost lost a body part.(GIVE HIM A HAND PLEASE!) I won't reveal it here as it will spoil it.

Rosie Perez proves that she is a comic genius in this unorthodox, pork romp. It is a porkfest(HAMMY, SLAPSTICK BRILLIANCE)If you like Forbidden Broadway there is enough funny gags to enthrall you. If you like looking at the cutest view in NYC this show is for you.

I had a blast and the view was not bad either. Kiss today goodbye and point me toward the ham, please!

It is MARVELOUS!

The RITZ is playing at STUDIO 54.

For over 21 please. Half Naked men with gorgeous bodies, cursing and partial nudity.
Will induce fast pulse(Warning for the faint of heart)
For women and fabulous gay men.

The cast of Avenue Q Strikes a pose (VOGUE) Photo by Brad Balfour.

A highlight, I got to interview David Benoit and Trekkie Monster at Broadway On Broadway. Wait till the video comes out! It was a blast. Photo by Brooks Williams for Timessquare.com

This photo made my day. It is so cute. I am the woman holding the microphone. Yes, I am short.

RUDE AWAKENING!!!!

On Monday, I went over to see a preview of the hit smash 25th year running Off Broadway sensation Forbidden Broadway. This version has become my favorite of all time. The spoof of Grey Gardens is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Janet Dickinson has the body beautiful Beale down to a capital B. Her impersonation of Ebersole is so funny that it made tears roll down my face. ( I loved GG and so does Gerard Alessandrini) She also does incredible work in the Spring Awakening spoofs (I won't tell you what she does because it could spoil it for you)

Other hilarious numbers:
Rude Awakening- So funny I might have to see this show again in a few weeks.
Company- Jared has Raul down. His facial expressions are killer and he really looks like Raul(On being INTENSE which Mr Esparza is)(I also adore Raul but they really have him down)
Jared Bradshaw who has been in the show for over a year now has become one of the greatest talents ever witnessed in Forbidden Broadway. Val is also outstanding and the newest member does the best impersonation of Ebersole ever created.

Forbidden Broadway Rude Awakening is a joy ride for anyone who adores musical theater.
To buy tickets call: 212-239-6200 or stop by the box office and tell Neil I sent you. You might even get lucky and hear some excellent music (Carol Woods and Liza with a Z!)

HOW TO SURVIVE IN NYC

Book Signing for Instructional Book on Surviving in New York City

Pay-It-Forward concept tied to the book.

NEW YORK CITY, September 15, 2007 -- If a person is new to the City and finds it a challenge to understand the customs, language and how to keep more of his money in his pocket then How to Survive New York City for the Newcomer is the book of choice authored by Deborah Torbert, published by Mother’s House Publishing, Colorado. The first book signing will be at the Excelsior Athletic Club, 301 E. 57th at 2nd Avenue, 5th Floor Thursday, September 27, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Torbert came to New York City from the West Coast to find work after a struggle rebuilding a business was cut down when the World Trade Center was attacked. When people were leaving the City in fear, Torbert came looking for work. During the succeeding years, she met people dealing with the same issues and having the same questions she had when she first came to New York. After meeting with tourists and newcomers in delis, on subway platforms and in a restaurant-bar called Mimi’s on 52nd, she realized that she could pass along what she had learned faster if she wrote a book directed to these new people. That was the birth of her first book. She subtitled it, to Reduce Stress, Loss of Money and Culture Shock to bring her point home. She explained, “When I travel back to the West Coast I invariably meet people who cannot wait to leave the city, that it did not meet their expectations. I feel so bad knowing that they could have totally enjoyed their trip here and want to return had they known what I tell them in my book. New York City is a too great a place to be misundertood.”

Publisher Jackie Haag of Mother’s House said, “We only publish books that are unique and have a purpose. Torbert’s style is very friendly and enjoyable to read. You feel you are having a cup of coffee
with a friend while listening to information you need. It is refreshing.”

How to Survive New York City for the Newcomer

Torbert was very happy when the National Artists Foundation, Henderson, NV, offered to fund her mother’s scholarship. “I had told my mother I wanted to do something for the women in my family, and if I can help a student get an education in the arts, then I feel I have helped my mother and grandmother,” she explained and added, “I wanted to target one-parent students because my dad died when I was a baby, and I know how hard it can be.”
Recent events have stalled the NAF funding, so Torbert is seeking other solutions. Recently she decided to add a ‘Survival T-Shirt’ on her website (survivingnyc.net) to raise funds. Part of the proceeds from the book already are earmarked for the scholarship in a kind of pay-it-forward concept. She is seeking a local institute to help fund the scholarship.

At the moment the book and key chain are being presented to hotels, bookstores, luggage stores in town and New York, New York Casino in Las Vegas. Realtors are interested in using the key chain as carry-along advertising for their services. Torbert’s primary desire is to get the information in the book to the people who can use it the most: tourists, students and new residents. She welcomes any help toward that goal or with the scholarship and will review all emails sent via her website http://www.survivingnyc.net.

How to Survive New York City for the Newcomer is available through amazon.com, and it retails for $12.90. For more information, go to http://www.survivingnyc.net.

80TH ANNUAL FEAST OF SAN GENNARO! MANGIA!

80TH ANNUAL FEAST OF SAN GENNARO
TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 13– 23, 2007
The 80th Annual Feast of San Gennaro, the oldest, biggest and best known Italian festival in the United States, will begin on Thursday, September 13, and continue through Sunday, September 23, 2007. This year’s “Feast of All Feasts,” presented annually since 1996 by Figli di San Gennaro (Children of San Gennaro), Inc., a local not-for-profit organization, is expected to attract 1.5 million visitors to Little Italy to celebrate the Patron Saint of Naples.

One of the most popular tourist attractions in New York City, the Feast of San Gennaro features activities for the entire family that take place along Mulberry, Hester and Grand Streets, from 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. (midnight on Fridays and Saturdays). The local streets are decorated with festive banners and arches in green, white and red, the colors of the Italian flag. More than 40 of Little Italy's most famous Italian restaurants, many of them landmarks, roll out the red carpet for Feast visitors, and many provide outdoor dining facilities for the event, offering a variety of Italian specialty foods and pastries. Some restaurants even have strolling musicians to entertain their customers.
The festivities – including religious processions and parades, free musical entertainment, food stands and a professional cannoli-eating contest – are capped on Wednesday, September 19th with a celebratory Mass and candlelight procession as the Statue of the Saint is carried from its permanent home in Most Precious Blood Church at 109 Mulberry Street between Canal and Hester Streets through the streets of Little Italy.

In addition, there are more than 200 street vendors who set up shop along the Festival Streets selling a wide variety of goods and merchandise, including international foods, official Little Italy souvenir items and boutique merchandise including jewelry, accessories and clothing. The Feast also has a number of arcade games as well as many fun activities for the younger members of the family, including carnival rides.

Highlights of this year’s Feast include The Blessing of the Stands which officially starts the Feast on Thursday, September 13, at 6 PM when Father Fabian Grifone, pastor of Most Precious Blood Church, walks through the Feast blessing all the vendors and wishing them a successful Feast; The 6th Annual Cannoli Eating Competition on Friday, September 14, at 2 PM, featuring professional eaters from all over the world in a competition sanctioned by the International Professional Eaters Federation; The Grand Procession on Saturday, September 15, at 2 PM with actor Tony Lo Bianco as Grand Marshal; and The Celebratory Mass honoring San Gennaro on Wednesday, September 15, at 6 PM in Most Precious Blood Church, followed by the Religious Procession with the Statue at 7 PM through the streets of Little Italy.
A Performance Stage will be located at the corner of Grand and Centre Market Streets and will feature live entertainment and daily special events starting with the 6th Annual Cannoli Eating Competition on Friday, September 14, at 2 PM. There will be live concerts and radio broadcasts on this stage from 7 to 10 PM daily. WCBS1010 Radio will broadcast live from the stage on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 7 PM, hosted by deejay Joe Causi. Sirius Satellite Radio Network will also broadcast live from the stage on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 7 PM with Bruce Morrow (Cousin Brucie) at the microphone. Vito Picone and the Elegants will perform at 4:30 PM that day. Other nights will feature broadcasts by radio stations Z100, KTU103.5 and Q104.3.
On Wednesday, Sept. 19, there will also be a Special Memorial Concert for Luciano Pavarotti on the Performance stage featuring professional opera and Italian folk singers including the top finalists in this year’s Little Italy Vocal Competitions for Tenors and Sopranos. Those performing include tenors Eapen Leubner and Raffaele Sepe, and sopranos Jennifer Rowley, Anya Matanovic, Sungji Kim and Nicole Macagnone.
Other Special Events: Induction Ceremony of Tony Lo Bianco into the Little Italy Wall of Fame on Saturday, September 15, at 1 PM, and a Preview Screening for the benefit of Figli di San Gennaro of a new independent feature film Everyone Wants to Be Italian at the Angelika Film Center on Wednesday, September 12, at 7:

The Feast of San Gennaro first took place in New York City on September 19, 1926 when newly arrived immigrants from Naples, Italy, settled in crowded apartment houses along Mulberry Street in a section that became known as Little Italy. In addition to seeking a better quality of life in America for their families, these new Americans also brought with them a rich culture and deep religious heritage including the centuries-old tradition they had followed in Italy to celebrate the day in 305 A.D. when Saint Gennaro was martyred for the faith.
In the years since, the Feast has grown from a one-day street celebration to a gala 11-day event. On September 19, a Religious Procession, including the Statue of San Gennaro, winds along the length of Mulberry and Mott Streets, between Canal and Houston Streets. The procession begins immediately following a 6 PM Celebratory Mass at Most Precious Blood Church, the National Shrine of San Gennaro. This year this procession will be led by Father Fabian Grifone, pastor of Most Precious Blood Church and other members of his religious order.
Although a party atmosphere permeates the Feast, it is really a religious celebration that has become a proud tradition handed down from generation to generation of Italian-Americans. For 11 days and nights the streets of Little Italy are filled with joyous people of all ethnic and racial backgrounds eating fabulous Italian cuisine, listening to great live entertainment and just having a wonderful time. But there is a religious purpose behind the festivities which is never forgotten, and that becomes evident on September 19th, the Saint's Day.
The continued growth of the Feast over the past ten years has enabled Figli di San Gennaro, Inc. to donate more than $1.6-million to worthy causes providing valuable services for children and education in the Little Italy community and beyond. At the conclusion of each annual Feast, sizeable donations are distributed to scores of worthy organizations in all five boroughs and the tri-state area to help the needy and the young. No other public festival in America donates more money to charity than does the Feast of San Gennaro.

I'm Touched Beyond Words!

Sometimes people can even take my breath away. I have always wanted an Avenue Q puppet and have been searching for one for many months. I wrote about wanting one for my Birthday and someone very special gave me one. I am still speechless.
This person is a Prince among men and I will never forget the nice thing he did for me.

It really moved me. In addition this cast member plays Trekkie and Nicky in Avenue Q and was hysterically funny tonight and in Forbidden Broadway. I will always be touched by his very generous and thoughtful gift. It made me cry.

If you have not seen Avenue Q or if you have you need to see him and the cast. It is as strong as ever.

Avenue Q is a must see. To get tickets:

9.10/2007- OLD SPRINGS PIKE STARRING JOHNNY GALLAGHER(FROM SPRING AWAKENING)

I can't wait to see them perform tonight. I'm getting ready to ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
href="http://corinescorner.com/blog2/uploaded_images/l_8f6e1aeb31f178a2df3fe4acd1f629fa-769986.jpg">

Supergroup David Poe and Friends performing soon!
New acts just added: Old Springs Pike and Jonathan Glickfeld!

Summer may be winding to a close according to your calendar, but not according to Spiegelworld! The marvel of old-school European architecture at the South Street Seaport is still going strong a month after opening. They’re adding new acts like crooner Jonathan Glickfeld, harmonizers Old Springs Pike.

Old Springs Pike – September 10 @ 10pm
OLD SPRINGS PIKE blends the cricket chirp of a suburban slow-fade with the subway scream of metropolitan mayhem. Using four part harmony as a diving board, these early twenty-somethings find themselves in stylistic depths ranging from a fair-paced folk to a rarely restrained roots rock. With an energetic, spontaneous live act, OLD SPRINGS PIKE proves that it’s not just a concert, but an event. OLD SPRINGS PIKE are James Cleare, Johnny Gallagher (2007 Tony Award winning performance in Spring Awakening,) Heather Robb and James Smith. On OSP’s unique sound, MTV raved "...They willingly embrace dissonance, and their execution is impeccable, from their tight, four-part, CSN-worthy vocal harmonies (no “pitchiness” here) to their wickedly intense percussive power, which featured everything from drums and cymbals to empty water bottles..." New York Magazine lovingly rejoiced, “They sing goofy, foot-stomping, and sometimes precociously moving songs in rich four-part harmony à la the Grateful Dead, as they whale away on guitars, mini-keyboards and melodicas…”

Penny Arcade’s BITCH! DYKE! FAGHAG! WHORE! Celebrating NYC Downtown Culture - September 11 @ 10:00pm
In 1990 Penny Arcade created the now legendary BITCH! DYKE! FAGHAG! WHORE!, her sex and censorship show, in response to the Senator Helms/National Endowment For The Arts censorship crisis. Now it returns in an exclusive Spiegeltent season for the first time in over a decade. Originally conceived as a 4 day audit for a NEA solo fellowship grant, it was a runaway success, fueled by what became known as The Drag Factor, as people returned over and over, dragging their friends, co-workers, neighbors and family to share the show and the show's cathartic audience dance break. A call for the separation of church and State, B!D!F!W! is a powerful critique of the Christian right as well as of the politically correct Left. A blend of outrageous humor, political humanism, freedom of expression and erotic dancing, Bitch! Dyke! Faghag! Whore! shocked NY's supposedly unshakeable downtown art scene with it's brazen use of strippers and erotic dancers and it's huge audience dance break. Are you ready for an epiphany?

David Poe and Friends – September 12 @ 10:00pm
In anticipation of his latest release 'Joy' and the completion of a new as-yet-unnamed supergroup studio recording, Poe and friends features the world premiere of an amazing group of New York luminaries: Tony Award-winner/Grammy nominee Duncan Sheik ("Barely Breathing" and the Broadway musical "Spring Awakening"), rock singer/songwriter David Poe ("Joy," "Blue Glass Fall") drummer Matt Johnson (Jeff Buckley's "Grace," Rufus Wainwright) songwriter/illustrator Morgan Taylor (creator of the popular children's project "Gustafer Yellowgold") and pianist Fil Krohnengold (Golden Smog, Gomez, Ween.)"[Poe] writes forensically exact lyrics with a dark, romantic sensibility, set to richly melodic, sensuously jazzy backing, singing in a flexible, warm, husky tone," writes London's Daily Telegraph.

Prodigy of Mobb Deep with Game Rebellion and more – September 19 @ 11:30pm
As part of Mobb Deep Prodigy spent years making a name for himself, alongside partner Havoc on acclaimed albums such as Hell on Earth (1996) and Murda Muzik (1999) before releasing his first solo album, HNIC, on Loud Records in late 2000. With this album Prodigy teamed up with a roster of outside producers such as the Alchemist and Rockwilder and proved himself to be a visionary solo artist. In early 2007, Prodigy signed a deal with Koch Records, to release two back-to-back albums this year. The first album ‘ROTM’ was recently released and has sold over 60,000 copies since April. Prodigy has won the hearts of both critics and fans alike, dropping harsh reality-based rhymes about the darker side of urban life with an unbalanced and sedate flow.

Dan Zanes and Friends: Sea Music! Sing-a-Long at the Spiegeltent!’ - September 23 @ 2:00pm & 4:00pm
Grammy-Award winning family favorite Dan Zanes makes his Spiegelworld premiere with an exclusive daytime show of sea songs inspired by traditional maritime music and family outings to the South Street Seaport. A rare, intimate concert appearance from one of the country’s most popular family bands, these historical songs are of the men who worked on the sea but they're so full of vigor that they continually inspire spontaneous musical outbursts from people in all stations of life.

Yard Dogs Road Show – September 24 @ 11:30pm
The Yard Dogs Road Show is cabaret, vaudeville and rock and roll. In the enchanting land of stage show entertainment ours is both pleasant and formidable terrain. We require a sensitivity to the subtle and the absurd. We lead the modern hobohemian on a visual and sonic journey through part of history that may or may not have existed – followed by an ambitious return to the emotional challenges of our punch-drunk contemporary world. It’s a true story on stage: sword swallowers, dancing dolls, fire eaters and sunset hobo poetry - all animated by the live sounds of the Yard Dogs cartoon heavy band. Yard Dogs Road Show is pure visual and sonic voodoo.

Jonathan Glickfeld – September 29th @ 5:30pm

Jonathan Glickfeld is an organic (pure & natural) crooner who will make you discover the "lost art of living". If you hanker to wear a tux while your cuff links sparkle. If you crave martinis or enjoy pouring your Jack Daniels on ice. If you used to woo at Jilly's, Patsy's or 21 then bring your pallies & let Jonathan Glickfeld "rig the tempo" with a series of saloon, torch and swing numbers, to welcome your night. Jonathan Glickfeld lives in piano bars around the globe.
