BURN THE FLOOR!
object width="340" height="285">
If any of you love dance as much as I do you need to see
BURN THE FLOORon Broadway before January. I saw it this past summer and miss it very much. I think I have an addiction to watching dance.
I must run home so I can make it in time to see Dancing With The Stars and to fill in on the days I can't watch it, I watch Giselle and the rest of this summers cast by watching my Bryant Park videos.
(They can be found on the video blog and they are worth it!)
I admit it, I am a dance addict.
Corine
PS I also adore Billy Elliot!

TROUBADOUR A NEW MUSICAL.
TROUBADOUR A New Musical Now Playing Through November 2nd "The voices of the cast blend, rise to the high ceiling, and ring together beautifully...Robert Felbinger is a wonderful Francesco, strong and earnest in his convictions with a compelling presence. I particularly enjoyed "Follow the Wind," his duet with Bernardo, played by the striking Samuel Perwin, and his scene with Brother Juniper, whose song "I Wonder, I Wonder" is sweetly performed by Alex Yacovelli. The cast as a whole has ethereal voices and the play put me in a peaceful contemplative frame of mind. I love Saint Francis, and I'm glad Troubadour is spreading his word." - NYTheatre.com (New York, NY) –HDM Productions presents TROUBADOUR, a new musical of the life of St. Francis of Assisi, now playing a limited-run October 9-November 2, 2009 at The Theater at The Church of the Epiphany
(1394 York Avenue @ E. 74th Street). Performances play Friday, Saturday and Monday evenings at 8:00PM, with Sunday matinees at 3:00PM. Troubadour’s music is written by Bert Draesel, lyrics by John Martin, and direction by John Margulis. Tickets, priced at $18, are available by calling (212) 737-2720 X 56 and more information available by visiting http://epiphanynyc.org/whats-new/214-theater-at-epiphany.
Many are familiar with St. Francis and his love of animals, celebrated each October by churches all around the world with the blessing of pets and creatures of all kinds. Troubadour deals not only with that Francis, but with the dynamic, world-changing Francis who gave up his privileged existence and warrior ambitions to become a poverty-loving troubadour of the Lord. Set in the 13th Century against an exciting panorama that takes in Rome, Assisi, and the Holy Land crusades, Troubadour centers on the dynamic drama of a man struggling to maintain his unique vision against high-pressure opposition. Recent years have witnessed a remarkable increase of interest in the life and work of Francis and his oneness with the created order. His story is a truly timeless one--that of an individual whose love and commitment to the poor and less fortunate is legendary and is an inspiration to all of us who struggle to understand what it means to love and care for our neighbor.
TROUBADOUR features music by Bert Draesel (Max and the Truffle Pig, Everyman and Bouncing Back) and lyrics by John Martin (Joyful Noises, A Chosen Vessel, Macdeath) and a book co-authored by Martin and Draesel. John Margulis is the director and Nat Habib is the producer. Troubadour’s cast includes Aaron Davis; Robert A. Felbinger; Charles Kavel; Rob Maitner; Mary Catherine McDonald; Samuel Perwin; John Weigand; and Alex Yacovelli. Performances of TROUBADOUR play Friday, Oct 9-Monday, November 2, 2009, Friday, Saturday and Mondays Evenings at 8:00PM, and Sunday Matinees at 3:00PM at The Theater at The Church of the Epiphany (1393 York Avenue @ E. 74th Street). FROM A SIZE ZERO TO A 1O. WISHFUL DRINKING IS A 10!
Carrie Fisher's show is funny, touching, off the wall and very real. It is the must see show of the season. Carrie went from a size zero to a smart, hysterical 10!
I went to the show this evening and noticed that Carrie wrote on her blog that Perez Hilton and others have written horrendous things about her size. It is very sad that our culture allows this to happen. Carrie may not be 103 pounds and a size zero but her acting and stage presence deserve a standing ovation. Women don't have to be skeltons with a large rack. They have to be smart, funny and make one laugh.
I gave Carrie Fisher a standing ovation. She has been a size zero and now she is a ten!
The show is fabulous and it deserves many nominations this season.

BARBARA WALTERS- THE VIEW.
On the VIEW today, Barbara Walters gave advice to people who wanted to follow in her foot steps:
"If you want to be in TV, don't try to get on TV in New York, try a local area."
Ever since I was a young girl I always dreamed of being the next Barbara Walters. I always watched her yearly interview specials before the Academy Awards and now am hooked on The View.
When I was a teen, my family went to Mexico and hung out with Barbara's daughter( they were staying in the same hotel) but sadly never met Barbara as she was working in her room.
My dream has always been to do interviews for TV. Corine's Corner is the closest thing that happened, but maybe I should take Barbara Walters advice and try to get a TV show in a smaller market. My biggest dream though, is to interview with the wonderful women of THE VIEW.
I watch the VIEW every single day and adore all of the women on the show.
A woman can dream. I enjoy doing my video interviews for my site http://www.corinescorner.com and I hope to someday have my own TV interview show.
