I get about 100 press releases a day. Today was kind of different. I usually get press releases about music, books, interview requests and theater and food events. Today, I got a press release to promote porn. PORN? I opened the release and went to the clients website and found dirty cartoons and a site with half naked women.

Sorry, folks. I wont promote porn on my squeaky clean website. If you are a press agent these are the things I will cover on my site:

Food and wine coverage: My first and favorite thing to cover. Well, really who doesn't love food and wine events? Culinary is one of my favorite things to write, videotape and cover and I can do video coverage, photo coverage and restaurant reviews.

Film coverage:

Red carpets, interview opportunities for all kinds of film except porn. I also don't cover horror films. Love to cover foreign films( love subtitles) Animation, Drama, Chick flicks and small and big motion pictures. I am more interested in covering red carpets and doing interviews and photo coverage.

NYC Tourism related coverage: Do you work for a museum, have an art gallery in NYC? Own a tour about NYC or a tourist attraction in NYC? Write to me as my audience are tourists from the US and from all over the World. I will cover any museum even the Museum of Sex.

I just watched Julie and Julia and was moved by the film. Meryl Streep really deserved to win an Oscar for her brilliant performance. Anyway, it has almost been five years since I started this site. Writing and doing interviews for Corine's Corner has been a fantasy of mine and I hope you readers out there have been entertained by the site and get ready for more coverage than ever before.

NEW YORK – The Cardinal Group is thrilled to announce its Off Broadway production of HATE MAIL, a play by BILL CORBETT and KIRA OBOLENSKY. The play will be presented at the 45th Street Theatre, located at 354 W. 45 St. in the heart of New York City’s Times Square. Directed by RICHARD PEPENELLA, Hate Mail stars DANA BROOKE and DH JOHNSON. Hate Mail is an epistolary play something like A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters, with two actors reading letters and other correspondence, but it's a little wilder and more hysterically funny. It tells the story of Preston, a spoiled rich kid who meets his match in Dahlia, an angst-filled artist. Their worlds collide when Preston sends a complaint letter that gets Dahlia fired from her job, and then there's no turning back. The play stays with their increasingly crazed correspondence as they move from hate to love, and then right back again. The show will run Tuesdays thru Fridays from March 16th to April 2nd. BILL CORBETT's play The Stuff of Dreams recently toured the country, produced by the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. His play The Big Slam has been produced at numerous theaters across the U.S., including Woolly Mammoth in Washington, D.C.; ACT in Seattle; and actor Jeff Daniels' Purple Rose Theater in Chelsea, Michigan. His other plays include Heckler; Ridiculous Dreaming (an adaptation of Heinrich Boll's The Clown, commissioned and produced by the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis); Hate Mail (co-written with Kira Obolensky), produced by Primary Stages in New York and numerous other theaters; Down the Pike, winner of the Actors Theater of Louisville National One-Act Contest; short plays Manifesto and Hunters, produced by the HBO Writers Project in Los Angeles; Cash Karma, first produced by the Organic Theater in Chicago; and Motorcade, produced at theaters in the U.S., Canada, and Japan. For four years Mr. Corbett was a writer for “Mystery Science Theater 3000” on the Sci-Fi Channel, and previously on Comedy Central. He was nominated for a Cable Ace Award in 1997 for Best Comedy Writing. A Core Member of The Playwrights' Center in Minneapolis, and a graduate of the Yale School of Drama, Mr. Corbett currently lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

KIRA OBOLENSKY’s new plays include Modern House (finalist for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize) and Lune, pronounced loony, which was commissioned and produced by the B Street Theatre. Her adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, a co-production of the Guthrie Theatre and The Acting Company, opened at the Guthrie in January 2010. Other plays include Lobster Alice (Kesselring Prize, finalist for Susan Smith Blackburn, published in Best Plays by American Women 2000); The Adventures of Herculina, (Honorable Mention Kesselring Prize, Edith Oliver Award, produced in Chicago and in Minneapolis) and Pleasure Cruise, commissioned by the Guthrie Theatre and published in Best 10 Minute Plays of 2002-03. She is a recipient of a Bush Foundation fellowship, a Guggenheim Fellowship, two Jim Henson Foundation grants, a Jerome Fellowship and a McKnight Advancement Grant. A graduate of Williams College and the Juilliard School’s Playwriting Fellowship Program, Kira teaches at Goddard’s MFA Interdisciplinary Arts Program and at the University of Minnesota.

DANA BROOKE has appeared in theatre, film, and television. Dana last appeared with Cardinal Group in Leslie Caveny’s Love of a Pig. Her work in that play was honored by BackStage as one of the "Most Memorable Acting Performances of 2007" along with such notables as the cast members of August: Osage County and the Public Theater’s Romeo & Juliet. Dana also appeared in the play Venecia with Chita Rivera directed by Arthur Laurents. Though a Brooklyn resident, Dana often travels to the B Street Theatre in CA where she is a company member, and last starred in Arlene Hutton's "Nibroc Trilogy". Dana’s TV appearances include NBC's "Ed", Fox's "Canterbury's Law," and FX's "Damages". Dana's most recent project took her to India to star in the new work "Zeenat.”

DH JOHNSON is an actor and founder of The Cardinal Group. He is currently seen in commercials, and in the award winning short film Flat Love directed by Andres Sanz (enlapiscina.com). Manhattan credits include Office Sonata (Irish Arts Center), Brutality of Fact by Keith Reddin (Urban Stages, produced by The Cardinal Group), Melissa Ross' Crazy Little Thing (Center Stage), Evilution by Edward Musto, Lanford Wilson's Book of Days (New World), Daniel Damiano's play Given Our Current Fiscal Crisis, and The Gallery Players productions of Blake Edwards' Victor/Victoria, Joe Lauinger's A Wedding Album, Warren Leight's Sideman, and Alan Ayckbourn's Bedroom Farce. Regionally he appeared in the Dorset Theatre Festival in Dulcy by George Kaufman and Marc Connelly directed by Carl Forsman, NC Shakespeare Festival's Richard III, Robinson Crusoe and Cricket on the Hearth at The B Street Theatre in Sacramento . Short films include Bedford, Emily, There Will Be Peace When You Are Done and the Oscar winning short, Two Soldiers with Ron Perlman directed by Aaron Schneider. Hate Mail marks RICHARD PEPENELLA’s directorial debut with the Cardinal Group. He was a member of the production staff of the Cardinal Group’s first production Brutality of Fact by Keith Reddin with Joy Franz, and has since coproduced the productions of Love of a Pig by Leslie Caveny with Dana Brooke (honored by Back Stage as a 2007 Performance to Remember for her portrayal of Jenny), the one woman show Mrs. Barry’s Marriage written by and starring Bronwen Coleman, This Is a Cowboy Poem My Daddy Taught Me written by and featuring Katie Bender, the reading of Michael Ferrell’s Jersey Shore House with Adam Heller and Tony winner Beth Leavel, and most recently Avow by Bill C. Universal Pictures Stage Productions, Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions in association with Weinstein Live Entertainment announced today that Jacob Clemente will join the cast of the 10-time Tony Award-winning Billy Elliot the Musical, in the role of ‘Billy.’

Clemente, who previously performed the role of ‘Tall Boy’ in Billy Elliot, will be the 9th boy to perform the role on Broadway. His first performance date will be announced soon.

JACOB CLEMENTE (Billy). Hi, my name is Jacob Clemente. At 12 years old, I am the youngest Billy to take the Broadway stage! I guess you could say I was destined to play Billy because both mining and dancing are in my blood. I am named after my great-grandfather, Jacob Mandel, who went “deep into the ground” of the coal mines of Pennsylvania. My other great-grandfather, Harry Jones, was a Welsh coal miner. My dad is in the mining business, too, but I have always wanted to dance! I started when I was 7 years old and have never stopped since, even while sitting at the dinner table! Over the years, I have been lucky enough to hold such dance titles as 2007 Junior Mr. Starquest and 2008 National NYCDA Mini Outstanding Dancer. Prior to playing Tall Boy/Posh Boy in this show, I had the privilege of being a Newsboy on the Broadway stage in Patti LuPone’s Gypsy. I knew then that I would want to do this for the rest of my life. I am very grateful to God, my dance and voice teachers, and prior directors for giving me the skills to get here. I especially want to thank my grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles, brother Tory and sisters Mandy and Lydia, who have all sacrificed so that I could reach my dream to “Be Billy”.

Producers of the five-time Tony Award nominated hit musical, ROCK OF AGES announced today that Emily Padgett will take over the role of “Sherrie,” beginning Monday, March 15, 2010 and Derek St. Pierre (“Franz”) and Katie Webber (“Waitress #1”) will join the cast on Monday, March 22. After having understudied the role since Monday, November 16, 2009 and performing nightly as “Waitress #1” at Broadway’s Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street), Ms. Padgett will star opposite Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis. She takes over the role from Kerry Butler, who will play her final performance Saturday, March 13 at 8pm. Tom Lenk will play his final performance as “Franz” on Sunday, March 21 at 7:30pm.

Emily Padgett recently starred as Sandy in the National Tour of Grease with Taylor Hicks. Her previous Broadway credits include Legally Blonde The Musical and Grease.

Derek St. Pierre makes his Broadway debut. Previous credits include MUNY's Camelot and 42nd Street.

Katie Webber comes directly from the original Broadway company of Memphis. Other credits include Broadway's Wicked, Jerry Mitchell's Peepshow (Goldie), and the film version of Rent.

The story of a group of young Americans searching for love and peace during the Vietnam era, HAIR is a timeless portrait of a movement that changed the world. Its groundbreaking rock score paved the way for some of the greatest musicals of our time. Now, the "Age of Aquarius" dawns again in this jubilant new production, which is the winner of the 2009 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. The Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle also recently honored the production with their 2009 award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical.

Directed by Diane Paulus and choreographed by Karole Armitage, HAIR features a book and lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado and music by Galt MacDermot. The creative team also includes Scott Pask (scenic design), Michael McDonald (costume design), Kevin Adams (lighting design) and Acme Sound Partners (sound design).

For every performance, a limited number of lucky audience members will receive $25 “be-in box” tickets, promising to make their experience of the show both affordable and unique. INNOVATIVE THEATRE HONORARY AWARDS ANNOUNCE NEW COMMITTEE CO-CHAIRS, AWARD APPLICATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED.

New York, NY-March 3, 2010: The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, is pleased to announce that Ben Hodges (editor, Theater World) and Abby Marcus (managing director, Vampire Cowboys) are the new co-chairs of the Honorary Award committee, filling the vacancy left by Leonard Jacobs (Clyde Fitch Report). The Innovative Theatre Foundation recognizes and appreciates the five years of service and dedication by Mr. Jacobs.

Set in Paris, Limonade Tous les Jours is a delightful & sparkling romantic comedy that tells the story of an American man who meets a French woman in a cafe. TO BENEFIT BC/EFA & THE CENTER

BROADWAY BACKWARDS 5, the one night only event held Monday at the Vivian Beaumont Theater at Lincoln Center, raised a record-breaking $186,780 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center (The Center).

This year’s total bested the amount raised in 2009 when $158,306 was raised by the event.

Never underestimate the power of a pronoun! BROADWAY BACKWARDS featured some of Broadway’s biggest names singing songs originally written for the opposite gender: women singing songs written for men and men singing song written for women. By keeping all of the lyrics intact, including the original pronouns, each song takes on an entirely new dimension, sometimes with hysterical results and sometimes with immensely touching results. BROADWAY BACKWARDS gave its audience a chance to see and hear some of the most treasured songs of the Great White Way in a whole new light.

BROADWAY BACKWARDS creator Robert Bartley served as director and choreographer of this special evening with musical direction by Wayne Barker. Florence Henderson served as host for this year’s event. Collectively, the performers participating in BROADWAY BACKWARDS 5 have earned four Tony Awards and 20 Tony Award nominations.

Some highlights from this year’s BROADWAY BACKWARDS 5 includes:

The opening number featured Robert Cuccioli, Ann Harada and an ensemble of 50 singing “Paris Original” from How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
Florence Henderson led an ensemble of all female singers and dancers in a rousing rendition of “Luck Be A Lady” from Guys and Dolls.
A humorous, yet sensitive musical moment featured Len Cariou and Lee Roy Reams singing “I Remember It Well” from Gigi.
Dan Butler and Hunter Ryan Herdlicka performed the showstopper, “Come Up To My Place” from On the Town.
Douglas Sills was chased by a team of butlers as he sang a charming and humorous rendition of “I Could Have Danced All Night.”
Lea Salonga stopped the show with a powerful rendition of “Out There” from the animated Disney feature The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Raul Esparza stunned the audience with passionate “The Man That Got Away.”
Nick Adams, Adam Perry, and Timothy W. Bish ended the first act with a remarkably danced and sang “There’s Got To Be Something Better Than This” from Sweet Charity.
Mario Cantone and nine handsome dancers took the audience away to a fantasy world with “Where You Are” from Kiss of the Spider Woman

Last night was the opening of BROADWAY BY THE YEAR 1927. I first want to congratulate Scott Siegel and TOWN HALL for the wonderful series. Last nights show was one of the greatest in the series and I was very grateful to be able to cover this show. This is part 1 of three videos on this show so come back.

The entire cast in this show were wonderful but Quentin Earl Darrington gave the performance of a lifetime. Producers out there need to find a nice role for him. He was most recently in RAGTIME on Broadway and deserves a Tony nomination as well as a good lead role on Broadway soon. I was blown away by his gorgeous vocal chops! Corine Cohen.

In an effort to advance at the company, Chuck lends executives his apartment for their extramarital romantic trysts. But things become slightly complicated when Fran Kubelik, the object of Chuck’s affection, becomes the mistress of one of his executives.

PROMISES, PROMISES features scenic design by Scott Pask, costume design by Bruce Pask, lighting design by Donald Holder, and sound design by Brian Ronan. Orchestrations are by Jonathan Tunick, with music direction by Phil Reno, and dance music arrangements by David Chase.

DAME EDNA’S UNDERSTUDY IS KNIGHTED!

There was a lot of purple hair and glitter in the house when SCOTT MASON, a Dame Edna look-a-like from Delaware, was named the Dame’s Honorary Understudy Wednesday morning at Henry Miller’s Theatre.

Distinguished judges included: Michael Riedel of the NYPost, NY1’s Frank DiLella and The Village Voice’s Michael Musto. There were also special appearances by guest judges Michael Feinstein and Dame Edna’s manager Barry Humphries, who was on hand to provide feedback to the contestants on behalf of his client.

The contestants were judged on their make-up, costume, accent and “Dame-like demeanor.”

Speaking as Dame Edna’s long-lost sister, Mason won over the judges and the audience with his own sparkling rendition of Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats.”

Mason has proven to be devoted to the spirit of Dame Edna in the past. In 2008, he attended an impersonators’ convention and was physically assaulted by a fellow (jealous) Dame Edna look-a-like. Mason will receive a credit in the Playbill as the official honorary understudy for Dame Edna.

NYC HAS BECOME A TRAFFIC MALL. DO YOU LIKE IT OR HATE IT?

As you know I LOVE NY. All of NYC culture, food and everything that goes along with this City. What I don't love is the traffic which has doubled since Mayor Bloomberg created several mall areas closing traffic on Broadway. I polled several bus drivers, cab drivers and NYC residents about the Mall at bus stops and around the City last week and every single resident hated the malls. One woman who wanted to stay under the radar told me it has added 10 minutes to her commute every single day and another resident told me she can never take the M11 bus anymore as the traffic has become incredible adding 20 plus minutes to her commute.

On the other hand every single tourist I interviewed loved the mall and several homeless people also loved it.

By keeping all of the lyrics intact, including the original pronouns, each song takes on an entirely new dimension, sometimes with hysterical results and sometimes with immensely touching results. BROADWAY BACKWARDS will give its audience a chance to see and hear some of the most treasured songs of the Great White Way in a whole new light.

BROADWAY BACKWARDS creator Robert Bartley is returning as director and choreographer of this special evening with musical direction by Wayne Barker.

Miscast 2010 is a musical spectacular featuring Broadway’s hottest stars performing songs from roles in which they would never be cast. Mo Rocca (“The Daily Show,” “CBS Sunday Morning”) will be hosting the evening. Josh Charles and Chris Noth serve as honorary chairs. Funds raised from Miscast help MCC Theater produce some of the most talked-about new work Off Broadway and support their Youth Company and in-school partnerships that serve New York City public high school students, as well as their literary development work with emerging playwrights.

This year’s event honors actor Julianna Margulies, a dedicated member of MCC Theater’s Board of Directors and an alumni artist who appeared in the theater’s 2003 production of Intrigue with Faye. She just won a 2010 Golden Globe Award for her starring role on the CBS hit “The Good Wife” and is an Emmy Award winner for her work on the landmark NBC series, “ER.” She can also be seen in the upcoming motion picture City Island. She has appeared in numerous films and television projects and throughout her career has consistently returned to the stage both on and Off Broadway. MCC Theater honors her for her commitment to taking risks as an artist and for her long-standing support of MCC’s mission.

The roster of performers for this one-of-a-kind theatrical evening includes Raul Esparza (Speed-the-Plow, Company), Sutton Foster (Tony Award winner for Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Drowsy Chaperone), Ana Gasteyer (“SNL” alumn, Wicked, The Royal Family), Montego Glover (Memphis, The Color Purple), Cheyenne Jackson (Finian’s Rainbow, NBC’s “30 Rock”), Aaron Tveit (Next to Normal, “Gossip Girl”) and Marin Mazzie (Kiss Me, Kate, Ragtime), with many more favorites to be announced. Broadway By The Year® celebrates its 10th year by taking the audience on a musical journey through the best of the Great White Way, featuring show-stopping numbers as well as lesser-known gems and little-known facts and humor about our favorite shows. The NY Times called the series “an event that is treasured by Broadway babies.” This season’s shows will include the Broadway musicals of 1927, 1948, 1966 and a special concert featuring songs from shows from 1990-2010.

“It is our intention to make this 10th Anniversary season as special and memorable as possible,” said Siegel. “To that end, we are assembling casts for each of our four concerts that will make each one a must-see event for any and every fan of Broadway musicals. We have cast a combination of Broadway regulars, as well as the stars, who are currently carrying Broadway shows. For our final show for this season on June 14th, we will do something we’ve never done before: perform one song from one show for every single year of Broadway musicals from 1990 to 2010, highlighting 21 great show tunes.

DECADE AT A GLANCE
Begins February 11 at Stella Adler Studio

Inspired by the 1930’s Dustbowl photographs of Walker Evans and
Dorothea Lange, the Harold Clurman Center for New Works in Movement
and Dance Theatre (MAD) at Stella Adler Studio will present the World
Premiere of DECADE AT A GLANCE. Written and directed by Joan Evans
with a cast of 15, this blend of theatrical documentary and folk
musical begins February 11 at Stella Adler Studio. In March 2010, the
production will travel to New Orleans for its Louisiana Premiere at
Michalopoulos Studio, produced by Artist Inc.

DECADE AT A GLANCE is an epic story of a few families in the Dustbowl,
circa 1936, who are uprooted from their farmland by drought, dust
storms and mortgage foreclosure. Making the treacherous journey out
west as migrant workers, these ordinary hard working people -- some
with hopes dashed, and dreams deferred or dissolved -- ultimately join
the union marches. Unfolding like a series of living photographs, the
story, told from the point of view of a Dustbowl survivor, is related
through songs, movement, and interviews preserved from the 1930’s.

The similarities and differences between the Great Depression, and our
own times, are self evident when we listen to simple people tell their
stories. The gestural and expressive movement evokes images of the
time. The actors sing and play the violin, flute, guitar, and ukulele.
The music combines Depression-era songs, union march songs from the
1930’s, and original vocal harmonies.

Joan Evans has been creating and performing original physical theatre
work since 1975. She won a Fringe First Award at the 1996 Edinburgh
Fringe Festival for creating, directing, and choreographing the
ensemble piece Where Ravens Rule, a theatrical response to the war in
Bosnia. She has toured her solo work in Austria, Brazil, and Germany.
She has performed her work at such theatres as the Performing Garage
and Manhattan Class Company in NYC, and the Eugene O'Neill Theatre
Center In Connecticut. She has been the recipient of four National
Endowment for the Arts Theatre Grants. She was awarded a 1993,
Citation of Excellence from the Union Internationale de la Marionnette
(UNIMA) for her work combining dance, acting, and puppetry in Rico and
Dolores. She has taught and directed at Stella Adler for two decades.

DECADE AT A GLANCE runs February 11 - 19, Wednesday - Saturday at

“SONGS MY FATHER LOVED” IN SPECIAL ONE-NIGHT ONLY MET ROOM ENGAGEMENT

Broadway’s John Leone, who recently finished a stint as Four Season Nick Massi, makes his Metropolitan Room debut on Sunday January 31 at 4pm in “Songs My Father Loved.” The fast paced homage to some of the iconic male voices of the 20th century, celebrates Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, Vic Damone, and Jerry Vale, among others. All share Leone’s Italian-American heritage, but it is the influence these singers had on Leone’s father and his cronies at their local social club, the Sons of Italy, that affected Leone most. Here is where he launched his show business career – first as a singing busboy, and later as “the lodge’s” house wedding band singer.

Leone is backed by The David Brunetti Trio. Directed by Dann Fink, “Songs My Father Loved” is produced by Lynn DiMenna’s M Lynn Enterprises.

Besides starring in the Tony Award-winning “Jersey Boys,” the Weymouth, Massachusetts native (and current Jersey resident) starred on Broadway in “Les Miserables” as Marius, and on the national tour of “Titanic” in which he served as First Officer Charles Lightoller. Regionally he has appeared at theatres across the country, in everything from Shakespeare to Sam Shepard. His television credits include a recurring role as sports agent Ricky Williams on the Showtime series Soul Food, and appearances on all three of the Law & Order franchises.

Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Executive Artistic Director) is pleased to announce that Charles Busch’s new comedy THE DIVINE SISTER will play a limited premiere showcase engagement at Theater for the New City’s Cino Theater (155 First Avenue). The developmental production, directed by Busch’s longtime collaborator Carl Andress (The Third Story; Die, Mommie, Die!) will play a limited engagement of 24 performances from Saturday, February 6 through Sunday, March 7.

THE DIVINE SISTER is an outrageous comic homage to nearly every Hollywood film involving nuns. Evoking such films as The Song of Bernadette, The Bells of St. Mary’s, The Singing Nun and Agnes of God, THE DIVINE SISTER tells the story of St. Veronica’s indomitable Mother Superior (author Charles Busch) who is determined to build a new school for her Pittsburgh convent. Along the way, she has to deal with a young postulant who is experiencing “visions,” sexual hysteria among her nuns, a sensitive schoolboy in need of mentoring, a mysterious nun visiting from the Mother House in Berlin, and a former suitor intent on luring her away from her vows.

This madcap trip through Hollywood religiosity evokes the wildly comic but affectionately observed theatrical style of the creator of Die, Mommie, Die! and Psycho Beach Party.

In a statement, Charles Busch said, “It gives me great pleasure to return to Theater for the New City to launch my new comedy, THE DIVINE SISTER. Crystal Field provides a great atmosphere in which one can try out new ideas and where a new production can find its sea legs. Carl and I first presented my play Shanghai Moon here in 1999 before we moved it to an Off-Broadway production, and we thought it was high time we returned to TNC, this time to give the ‘Sisters of St. Veronica’s’ their first home.”

Crystal Field said, “Charles Busch is one of America’s finest writers of High Comedy. He is a superb actor and, best of all, he has a philosophical bent that gives us a serious underpinning to a hilarious icing on a cake, so scrumptious and luscious, that we forget it’s all organic and ‘good for you.’ You will indeed be a healthier individual after seeing a Charles Busch play. And this one really does ‘take the cake.’”

In addition to Busch as ‘Mother Superior,’ the cast will feature Alison Fraser (Gypsy, Romance/Romance), Julie Halston (Hairspray, Twentieth Century), Amy Rutberg (Our Leading Lady, “As The World Turns”), Jennifer Van Dyck (The Third Story, Hedda Gabler), and Jonathan Walker (The Third Story, Dinner with Friends).

The creative team includes: Scenic and Graphic Design by B.T. Whitehill (Shanghai Moon, Vampire Lesbians of Sodom), Costume Design by Fabio Toblini (Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Batboy: The Musical), Lighting Design by Kirk Bookman (Shanghai Moon, The Green Heart), Sound Design by Jill B.C. Du Boff (Shanghai Moon, What's That Smell?), and original music by composer Lewis Flinn (The Little Dog Laughed; Die, Mommie, Die!).

BIOGRAPHIES
CHARLES BUSCH (Playwright, Mother Superior) is the author and star of such plays as The Lady in Question, Red Scare on Sunset, Shanghai Moon, The Third Story, and Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, which ran five years and is one of the longest running plays in Off-Broadway history. His play The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife ran for 777 performances on Broadway and received a Tony nomination for Best Play. He wrote and starred in the film versions of his plays, Psycho Beach Party and Die, Mommie, Die!, the latter of which won him the Best Performance Award at the Sundance Film Festival. In 2003, Mr. Busch received a special Drama Desk Award for career achievement as both performer and playwright. Mr. Busch made his directorial debut with the film A Very Serious Person, which premiered at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival. He is also the subject of the documentary film The Lady in Question is Charles Busch.

JAY LEONHART AT THE MET!

Bassist and composer Jay Leonhart will appear at The Metropolitan Room in a show he has chosen to entitle "Me and Lenny" in recognition of the composition that Tony Bennett calls Jay's "San Francisco".

Jay has been performing his own songs for decades at festivals and concert halls around the world and has scheduled four January appearances at the Metropolitan Room to let his fellow New Yorkers see what he has been up to recently. From early appearances on David Letterman to features at Carnegie Hall, Jay has been lighting up audiences with his songs about life in the music world and the people he has come to know.

Though known for his humor, Jay will also include songs that touch upon more poignant moments in his travels. Music writers and critics include Jay Leonhart in the auspicious company of jazz's great songwriters-Mose Alison, Dave Frishberg, and Bob Dorough.
